Artists produce food for the soul. We at the Desi Condition have been saddened by the passing of two amazing artists who pushed the boundaries and made us reflect on our humanity. Today we pay tribute to Krishnakumar Kunnath.

The artist KK (Krishnakumar Kunnath) died at the age of 53 while performing at a concert in Kolkata this past Tuesday. A renowned Bollywood singer, his songs conveyed a wonderful range of emotions and were in many different languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali and several other languages. He began his career in ad jingles and became known for his work on several Bollywood movies, including Om Shanti Om and Bachna Ae Haseeno.
